Taylormade stealth UDI and DHY Comparison

Taylormade stealth udi and dhy comparison: Perhaps the most overlooked part of a golfer’s bag is the gap between their shortest fairway wood and their longest iron. For years, TaylorMade has offered a variety of groundbreaking products to bridge this gap, and today the company announces the latest innovation in driving irons and hybrids with Stealth UDI and Stealth DHY.

Whether it’s a tight tee shot or a two-shot par five, golfers need to be able to draw a club with confidence and know it’s going to fly the way they intended. The all-new Stealth UDI and DHY are powered by SpeedFoam™ Air for optimal launch, distance and playability.

“With the Stealth UDI and DHY, we designed two different, yet similar options to provide versatility and forgiveness that can be a massive advantage for golfers between their fairway woods and longer irons.

By incorporating SpeedFoam Air from our P-790 irons and redesigning the shape of the UDI and DHY, we’ve created the opportunity for the everyday golfer to have two different options at the top of the bag.

The Stealth UDI with a lower trajectory and more penetrating ball flight and Stealth DHY which flies a bit higher and lands softer.

With these products, golfers will be able to take flight in the way that best suits their game and space out the top of their bag. Matt Bovee, Product Creative Director, Irons

New and proven technologies combine for maximum performance

The Stealth UDI and DHY use many proven technologies as well as new technology features never before seen in the TaylorMade UDI and DHY irons. The forged 4140 steel L-face with inverted cone technology, combined with a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket™, provides serious distance, forgiveness and maneuverability.

The use of a new SpeedFoam Air, which is 69% less dense, tunes the sound and feel for great response. Design engineers have more discretionary mass to optimize center of gravity without sacrificing damping. These irons can fill the void in the bag and can be quickly and easily adapted to the individual player and the conditions of the day.

There are multiple cosmetic changes to the Stealth UDI and DHY, with a mirror polished black chrome on the tip, while keeping the monochrome theme with a slight hint of red to tie in with the rest of the Stealth™ family.

STEALTH UDI: The Ultimate Driver Iron

Taylormade Stealth UDI

The ultimate blend of control and versatility, the Stealth UDI is a powerful option from the tee or the turf. With a low launch and mid-to-low spin in a forgiving head design, it’s built for long iron shots and stingers.

The Stealth UDI offers a traditional address view with a Tour-inspired shape, narrower sole width (compared to the DHY) and less offset than its predecessors. It is built to meet the expectations of the best ball hitters, but offers a higher level of forgiveness than standard long irons.

The Stealth UDI’s weight is placed just behind impact, so the center of gravity (CG) has been positioned for lower ball flight, while creating the spin needed to shape shots. The CG of Stealth UDI is comparable to that of the P-790, but Stealth UDI has a wider sole for better playability.

STEALTH DHY: The superior hybrid

Taylormade Stealth DHY

Engineered for power and forgiveness, the Stealth DHY delivers medium-to-low ball flight with distance properties that rival traditional hybrids in an iron-like profile. The Stealth DHY has an inviting address profile, longer blade length and wide sole, creating a generous sweetspot that inspires confidence. Rounded heel and toe radius improve playability and turf interaction.

The Stealth DHY’s weight is placed in the sole of the club, which creates a lower CG and makes it easier to play and launch than a traditional iron. This lower CG creates a higher launch than the Stealth UDI giving players the option to choose the launch that best suits their game.
